COLOMBIA LA TIERRA QUE NO OLVIDO

Colombia has so many exciting things. Something hard to describe and that one can only feel while spending time there.
It is a mix between imperfection, happiness, authenticity, and exclusiveness... I missed this cocktail. In this post, I would like to share some pictures I took in December 2003. A few months before my grandmother passed away. These are images from a trip I took in Colombia while JC was in Iraq.

VOGAGE SUBLIME. Excerpts from the Sublime preface by Andrej Kupetz

"..." An object becomes larger and more complex the more effort and time we invest in reducing it."

"..the more the appearance is perfected, the stronger the content.

..." leaving out and the concentration of the essential.
In this view, emotional value results from things being liberated from the superfluous, and the essence of objects is proverbially peeled free.
Thus, the truly simple results from an intense and elaborate process. The viewers or users do not see that, but they feel it. It is the essence of the sublime that seizes them. If they have sufficient empathy, they will immediately develop emotional access to products created this way."
